So-net breach exposes 2.6 million Sony ISP customer records

Sony's So-net says hackers took 2,585,481 member records on 19 October, plus email passwords for 54,401 accounts. No card details were taken.

Sony's Japanese internet provider, So-net, says hackers got into its member database and took the personal details of more than 2.5 million current and former customers. For 54,401 of them, the attackers also got an email address and the password that goes with it.
