Tungkillo residents fight 1.2GW data centre near dark sky

Quantum DC wants a 1,200MW data centre at Tungkillo, on the edge of the River Murray dark sky reserve. Residents fear noise and light.

Out past the Adelaide Hills, a Melbourne company wants to build a giant data centre drawing 1.2 gigawatts. The people of Tungkillo are worried about losing the dark skies and quiet nights that drew them there.
