Tesla Semi fire shuts I-880 in Hayward for 10 hours

A Tesla Semi caught fire on I-880 in Hayward on 27 October with no crash involved. Southbound lanes stayed shut for about 10 hours. The cause isn't known.

A Tesla Semi caught fire on one of the Bay Area's busiest freeways on Tuesday evening, and nobody had crashed into anything. The electric truck's battery burned long enough to keep southbound Interstate 880 in Hayward shut for about ten hours.
