Apple's M6 MacBook Pro starts at A$3,199 in Australia, A$700 more than the M5 model. The M6 iMac starts at A$2,399. Pre-orders open Thursday.

Apple has put its new M6 chip into the 14 inch MacBook Pro and the iMac, and Australians will pay a lot more for both. The MacBook Pro now starts at A$3,199, which is A$700 more than the M5 model cost when it launched a year ago.
