Volkswagen pauses work on the electric ID. Golf

Volkswagen has paused work on the electric ID. Golf as its Wolfsburg plant runs €300 million short of its savings target. VW says it's not cancelled.

Volkswagen has hit pause on the electric Golf. The German carmaker has stopped development work on the ID. Golf at its Wolfsburg headquarters because, in the words of its brand boss, it simply can't afford it right now.
