Toyota to build Waymo robotaxis, Japan tests start 2027

Toyota and Waymo said on 30 October that self driving bZ4X robotaxis built in Aichi will start testing in Japan in 2027, with the UK to follow.

Toyota will build robotaxis for Waymo. The two companies said on Friday 30 October that a fleet of self driving Toyota bZ4X electric SUVs will begin testing in Japan in 2027, with deployment in the United Kingdom and other Waymo markets to follow in later years.
