UK weighs lowering its 2030 EV sales target to as low as 50%

Britain's review of its rule that 80% of new cars sold in 2030 be electric closed on 23 October. Options go as low as 50%, and carmakers want it lowered.

Britain is deciding whether to water down one of the toughest electric car rules in the world. The public consultation closed on Friday night, and over the weekend the fight over it spilled into the open.
