BYD's Sealion 08 SUV took more than 12,000 orders in the 24 hours after its 2 September launch. Its range is up to 900 km on China's test cycle.

BYD's Ocean flagship took the order book in a day. The Sealion 08 launched in China on 2 September 2026, and within twenty-four hours Ocean sales said the SUV had more than twelve thousand orders.
