Six seconds from Thales Alenia in Turin on 6 August: two pairs, each in less than a second, non-explosive actuators, full-scale legs that match the ones that will fly. Sener built them. The drill’s two-metre reach is why the rover exists; Viking-era organic work still sits around 15 centimetres. Touchdown 2030, ride late 2028 on the Heavy NASA already booked.
