Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y can now back up your home's power

Tesla's Powershare Home Backup now works on new Model 3 and Model Y cars with a Powerwall 3. Tesla says they add over two days of backup in a US outage.

Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y can now power your house when the grid goes down. Tesla Energy switched on Powershare Home Backup for new Model 3 and Model Y cars paired with a Powerwall 3 on Tuesday 6 October, US time, which was early this morning in Adelaide. Tesla says the car can stretch a typical home's backup by more than two days.
