Shift Up just put four free Bayonetta couture outfits on Eve's wardrobe and a Switch 2 demo on the Nintendo eShop in the same Tokyo Game Show package — and the trailer for that collaboration is already up on the company's own channel.
Short version from Saturday's Gematsu write-up and Shift Up's own tape: a free Bayonetta collaboration update for Stellar Blade is timed to the Switch 2 Complete Edition launch, four named couture outfits are on the card, a Switch 2 demo is downloadable now, and the worldwide clock Shift Up printed earlier this month resolves the "November 5 or November 6" argument into one timestamp with region labels. Here's the order a first-time listener needs.

I'm keeping the spine on Gematsu's 20 September write-up, Shift Up's official YouTube vignette, the SEGA/ATLUS Tokyo Game Show lineup page for Complete Edition, and the Shift Up announcement language RPG Site carried on 13 September with the full timezone line. When Nintendo Everything, My Nintendo News, RPG Site's 20 September follow-up, or Vice colour shows up, I'll say so. Outfit names, free status, demo availability, and the launch clock stay primary or Shift Up-quoted.
What Saturday's package actually is
On 20 September 2026, Gematsu's Sal Romano reported that SHIFT UP released a new trailer for Stellar Blade's free Bayonetta collaboration update. That update, Gematsu wrote, is due out alongside the Switch 2 version's release on November 6. A demo for the Switch 2 version is also now available via the Nintendo eShop.
The same Gematsu note names the four new couture outfits in quotes: "Bayonetta," "Nun," "Jeanne," and "Black Tresses." Those four names are the collaboration's wardrobe list. There's no fifth in the reporting.
Gematsu also restates the current platform map in one breath: Stellar Blade is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and will launch for Switch 2 on November 6. That November 6 line is Gematsu's. Set it next to Shift Up's own timezone math in a minute — they're describing the same worldwide moment from different clocks.
The trailer Gematsu embeds isn't a mystery clip with an invented ID. On SHIFT UP's Official Channel, the video titled Stellar Blade - Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette sits at YouTube ID FEJ6LnglLTs. That's the vignette for this piece. Gematsu's page also embeds a separate Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage archive from the same channel — Stellar Blade: Return to Earth Stage @ TGS 2026, ID E8STda72iQE — useful as stage colour, not as a stand-in for the vignette ID on the article field.
The four outfits, named the way Shift Up named them
Couture, in this game's language, means the cosmetic nanosuit lane Eve already lives in. The Bayonetta collaboration is four more entries in that lane, not a second campaign and not a guest fighter slot.
Gematsu's list, again, in the order printed: Bayonetta. Nun. Jeanne. Black Tresses.
Secondary colour, labeled Vice (Brent Koepp, 20 September 2026): the Bayonetta outfit puts Eve in the Umbra Witch's black costume language — gold accents, long gloves, glasses — while Eve keeps her own appearance rather than becoming a full Bayonetta character skin. The Nun outfit is described there as a black-and-white costume inspired by Bayonetta's religious disguise. The Jeanne outfit tracks Jeanne's red-and-gold scheme with glasses. Black Tresses, that piece says, reads as an original Stellar Blade design made as a tribute rather than a straight character copy. Treat those look descriptions as secondary reporting on what the trailer shows. The primary names remain the four Gematsu printed.
Vice is also clear on a boundary that shouldn't get blurred: the collaboration includes costumes and does not add Bayonetta as a playable character. If you came here hoping for a crossover fighter, Saturday's package isn't that story.

Free on three platforms — and what "free" means here
Gematsu calls it a free Bayonetta collaboration update. RPG Site's 20 September follow-up carries Shift Up marketing language that lands the same point in one block. The outlet quotes it this way:
"Dress up EVE and reclaim Earth in style with four brand new couture outfits inspired by Bayonetta! The Bayonetta Collaboration will be available for FREE on PS5, PC, and NS2 when Stellar Blade Complete Edition comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026!"
That quote is why "free" isn't a rumour. It's Shift Up's own capital-letter FREE, aimed at PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 on the Complete Edition day.
Secondary, labeled Vice again: players who already own Stellar Blade on the platforms where it already ships receive the four couture outfits through a free update, and the outfits are also included in the upcoming Complete Edition. Same destination, two doors — update for owners, Complete Edition for the Switch 2 cut and anyone buying that SKU. Don't invent a price for the outfits. The sources in hand call them free.
November 5 and November 6 are one clock if you read the timezone line
This is the part where outlets look like they disagree until someone prints the offset.
Gematsu, dated 20 September: Switch 2 version release on November 6; collaboration due alongside that release; game will launch for Switch 2 on November 6.
SEGA/ATLUS Tokyo Game Show 2026 English lineup page for Stellar Blade Complete Edition: "Coming 11/6/2026," Action-adventure, Nintendo Switch 2. That's a Japanese organiser page putting 11/6 on the slate.
My Nintendo News (Sickr, 20 September 2026), secondary labeled: Shift Up released a Switch 2 demo; a Stellar Blade x Bayonetta trailer is up; the game "launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 6th November."
Nintendo Everything (20 September 2026), secondary labeled: vignette for the free Bayonetta collaboration costumes; free demo now on the Switch 2 eShop; "Stellar Blade releases on November 5 on Nintendo Switch 2."
RPG Site's 20 September vignette piece, secondary labeled for the date framing: Complete Edition Switch 2 launch on November 5; collaboration also on PS5 and PC the same day.
Vice, secondary labeled: outfits "reportedly" land November 5 at 7 AM PT and 10 AM ET; because of time-zone differences, Shift Up lists the update for November 6 in Japan and South Korea; Bayonetta update alongside the Switch 2 version on November 5 in North America.
Here's the resolving block. On 13 September 2026, RPG Site carried Shift Up's Complete Edition announcement with a timezone sentence you should keep whole. Shift Up, as quoted there, confirmed a simultaneous worldwide release date of 6 November 2026 at 00:00 KST/JST (5 November, 07:00 PST / 15:00 GMT), and said all four Bayonetta couture outfits would be available for free on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC starting at that same timestamp.
So the clash is a calendar label, not two different launch weeks. Seoul and Tokyo hit 6 November at midnight. Pacific clocks are still on 5 November at 07:00. Gematsu and the SEGA TGS page speak in the KST/JST day. Several North American-facing secondaries speak in the PST day. Keep both labels and point at Shift Up's own offset when the question comes up.
Vice's 7 AM PT line matches the 07:00 PST in that Shift Up quote. Vice's "10 AM ET" is the same morning in Eastern time. Carry Vice as secondary confirmation of the North American wall-clock reading, not as a second ledger.
The Switch 2 demo is not a rumour — it is on the eShop now
Gematsu: a demo for the Switch 2 version is now available via Nintendo eShop.
My Nintendo News, secondary: Shift Up has released a demo for the Switch 2 version; tip credited to a reader.
Nintendo Everything, secondary: a free demo is now available on the Switch 2 eShop so players can try the game ahead of release.
That's the demo beat. Available now. Free, per those secondary phrasings and Gematsu's "now available" language. I'm not inventing a demo content list, a save-transfer promise, or a runtime cap that no primary in hand printed on 20 September. If you need the exact demo menu, open the eShop listing on a Switch 2. The news fact is simpler: the demo landed with the vignette package.
Complete Edition — what the mid-September announcement already locked
Saturday's vignette sits on top of a Complete Edition announcement Shift Up made earlier in the Tokyo Game Show runway. RPG Site's 13 September piece is the clearest English carry of that announcement language in the sources used here.
From that Shift Up block, as RPG Site quotes it: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2; simultaneous worldwide release at the 6 November 2026 00:00 KST/JST timestamp already covered; Bayonetta collaboration unveiled in the same trailer wave; pre-orders open on the eShop and at participating retailers; pre-order early unlocks named as Planet Diving Suit (White Edition), Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings for Eve; a Limited Edition SteelBook with exclusive new key art through participating retailers and Panax in limited quantities.
What Complete Edition includes, still from that quoted Shift Up announcement: all previously released content, including the NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE DLC, plus additional Complete Edition bonuses — Stargazer outfit set for Eve, Adam, and Lily; Half-Rim Glasses; Quadruple Rectangle Earring; Planet Diving Suit (Captain) for Eve; Stargazer and Fluffy Bear Packs for the Drone; 2,000 SP EXP; 5,000 Gold.
MSRP in that same announcement block: $59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99 / ¥7,980 / ₩69,800.
Physical distribution note from RPG Site's own framing around that announcement: physical copies distributed by PM Studios; full game data on the cartridge — no game-key card, no additional download required to play, per the Shift Up language RPG Site carried. That cartridge sentence matters for Switch 2 buyers who've been burned by key-card SKUs elsewhere. Here the company is saying the whole game is on the cart.
SEGA's TGS English lineup page doesn't reprint the dollar string. It does put Complete Edition on Switch 2 with the 11/6/2026 coming date and a short plot graf about Eve reclaiming Earth from the Naytiba. Useful as a Japan-side date confirmation. Not a substitute for the full Shift Up feature list.

Where the game already lives — and when it first shipped
Gematsu's 20 September note: available now on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Original launch, primary: PlayStation Blog, 31 January 2024, under director Kim Hyung Tae's byline. Shift Up announced Stellar Blade coming to PS5 on 26 April 2024, with preorders from 7 February 2024. That April 26 date is the original ship day. RPG Site's game-info block on the vignette page also prints 26 April 2024 as the original release date.
The same January 2024 PlayStation Blog post is where Eve's story pitch was framed for a PlayStation audience: a warrior descending from an off-world Colony to fight Naytibas; meeting Adam and Lily; working with survivors in Xion; DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers called out as part of the feel. You don't need that whole 2024 pitch to understand Saturday's couture trailer. You do need the April 26 2024 date so "Complete Edition on Switch 2 in November 2026" sits on a real timeline instead of floating.
PC arrived later than PS5. I'm not re-litigating the Steam launch week here. Gematsu's current-availability line — PS5 and PC via Steam and Epic — is enough for the platform map under the Bayonetta update.
Tokyo Game Show context without turning into a travelogue
The vignette dropped during Tokyo Game Show 2026 coverage. Gematsu embeds both the vignette and a "Return to Earth" stage archive from the show. My Nintendo News and Nintendo Everything filed demo-and-vignette notes the same calendar day. Vice filed a costume-by-costume walkthrough the same morning in its own timezone.
You don't need a hall map. The operational fact is that Shift Up used the show window to put tape on the collaboration and a downloadable Switch 2 demo in players' hands weeks before the November Complete Edition date.
RPG Site's 13 September Complete Edition piece also notes that an earlier trailer previewed three of the four Bayonetta outfits and held the fourth back. Saturday's Collaboration Vignette is the later tape that Gematsu summarises as a look at the collaboration's four new couture outfits — the full named set.
What "couture" already meant inside Stellar Blade
If you never played the 2024 game, couture can sound like fashion-week filler. Inside Stellar Blade, it's the game's word for Eve's unlockable and purchasable cosmetic suits — the Planet Diving Suit line, collaboration suits, glasses, earrings, the whole dressing-room economy Kim Hyung Tae's 2024 PlayStation Blog post already flagged when it talked about costumes, accessories, and hairstyles.
That's why a Bayonetta collaboration landing as four couture outfits is on-genre for this title. Shift Up has been selling and giving Eve wardrobe drops since launch. NieR:Automata and NIKKE already sit in the Complete Edition's "previously released content" list per the mid-September announcement. Bayonetta is the next named collaboration in that same cosmetic lane, timed to the Switch 2 Complete Edition day and pushed back to PS5 and PC for free.
None of that requires you to like the tone of the suits. It does require describing the ship correctly: cosmetics, free, four names, three platforms, one worldwide timestamp.
Bayonetta's side of the handshake — keep it short and sourced
Bayonetta is PlatinumGames' stylish action series, long published in partnership with Sega. This isn't a Bayonetta franchise history. The crossover here is Shift Up putting Bayonetta-inspired couture on Eve, with Sega visible on the TGS Complete Edition lineup page that lists the Switch 2 cut.
Vice's secondary framing calls the match "fitting" because both games lean on fast, stylish action protagonists. That's opinion colour. The verifiable claim is narrower: four named outfits, free, trailer on Shift Up's channel, timed to Complete Edition.
How to hear the money without inventing outfit prices
Complete Edition MSRP from the Shift Up announcement RPG Site quoted: $59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99 / ¥7,980 / ₩69,800.
Original 2024 standard edition MSRP from PlayStation Blog (31 January 2024): $69.99 / £69.99 / €79.99 / ¥8,980, with a Digital Deluxe at $79.99 / £79.99 / €89.99 / ¥9,980. Those are 2024 PS5 prices. Don't mash them into the 2026 Switch 2 Complete Edition sticker. Different SKU, different year, different platform.
Outfit price for the Bayonetta set in the sources used here: free. No paid Bayonetta season pass appears in Gematsu's 20 September note or in the Shift Up FREE language RPG Site carried. If a store page later attaches a separate charge, that would be a new primary. I'm not inventing one.
What a first-time listener needs in order
One. On 20 September 2026, Shift Up released the Stellar Blade - Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette trailer on its official YouTube channel (ID FEJ6LnglLTs). Gematsu filed the same day.
Two. The free Bayonetta collaboration adds four couture outfits for Eve: Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne, and Black Tresses.
Three. Gematsu: the free update is due alongside the Switch 2 version's November 6 release; a Switch 2 demo is now on the Nintendo eShop; the game is out now on PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic) and launches on Switch 2 on November 6.
Four. Shift Up's mid-September announcement, as quoted by RPG Site on 13 September: simultaneous worldwide Complete Edition release at 6 November 2026, 00:00 KST/JST — which is 5 November, 07:00 PST / 15:00 GMT — and the four outfits free on Switch 2, PS5, and PC from that same timestamp.
Five. Region labels: Japan/Korea-facing pages and Gematsu say November 6; several North American-facing secondaries say November 5; both describe the same instant once you keep the offset.
Six. Complete Edition, per that Shift Up announcement: prior DLC including NieR:Automata and NIKKE; listed bonuses; MSRP $59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99 / ¥7,980 / ₩69,800; physical full game on cartridge; PM Studios in RPG Site's distribution note; preorder cosmetics named above.
Seven. Original Stellar Blade PS5 launch: 26 April 2024 (PlayStation Blog, 31 January 2024).
Eight. Secondary Vice: not a playable Bayonetta character; existing owners get a free update; outfit look descriptions labeled secondary.
Nine. youtubeId on this package: FEJ6LnglLTs only for the article field. Stage archive E8STda72iQE is related TGS tape, not the vignette lock.
What this piece is not claiming
Not claiming Bayonetta becomes a playable fighter in Stellar Blade. Secondary reporting says costumes only.
Not claiming two different worldwide launch weeks. November 5 PST and November 6 KST/JST are the same Shift Up timestamp.
Not inventing demo contents, file size, or performance targets for the Switch 2 build beyond "demo now on eShop."
Not inventing a paid price for the four outfits. Sources call them free.
Not treating Nintendo Everything, My Nintendo News, RPG Site date headlines, or Vice as a second ledger over Shift Up's timezone line and Gematsu's named facts.
Inline stills are object hardware and a generic cartridge — console, controller, docked Switch, and a blank cart. No character art in the figures.

Why the timezone line is the real date reveal
Game coverage loves a fight between November 5 and November 6. Readers hear two dates and assume someone's wrong. Shift Up's own announcement math ends the fight if you keep the city clocks attached.
Midnight in Seoul and Tokyo on 6 November is still the evening of 5 November on the US West Coast before the 07:00 PST line, and it is 15:00 GMT on 5 November. Gematsu writing "November 6" for a Korea-based developer story isn't a contradiction of a North American store page that surfaces "November 5." It's the same ship moment spoken from different meridians.
When Vice adds that Shift Up lists November 6 in Japan and South Korea while North America sees November 5, that secondary line is tracking the same offset. Prefer Shift Up's quoted 00:00 KST/JST block when you need one sentence that holds both labels.
What the demo changes for a Switch 2 buyer
Before Saturday, Complete Edition was a dated SKU with a trailer and a preorder pitch from mid-September. After Saturday, there's a downloadable Switch 2 demo on the eShop and a collaboration vignette that shows the four couture names in motion.
That's a different kind of information for a buyer. Dates tell you when money converts. A demo tells you whether the port's feel matches what you want from Eve's combat on Nintendo hardware. I'm not grading that feel from a distance. The demo exists, it's free to download per the reporting above, and it arrived in the same package as the Bayonetta vignette.
Collaboration math across platforms
One useful way to hear the free update: Switch 2 owners who buy Complete Edition get the Bayonetta suits in the November window, and PS5/PC owners who already paid for the 2024 game (or the PC port) get the same four suits without a new full-game purchase, per the free-update language in Gematsu and the secondary Vice note.
That's how you avoid punishing the early platform. Cosmetics timed to a new SKU often stay locked to the new SKU. Shift Up's language, as carried, pushes these four back to the platforms that already shipped.
Complete Edition still has its own value proposition on Switch 2 — prior DLC bundled, bonuses listed, full cart data, November date — separate from whether a PS5 owner cares about the Switch 2 cut at all. The Bayonetta suits are the bridge that lands on all three storefronts on the same timestamp.
The close
Saturday's package is a trailer, four named free couture outfits, a Switch 2 demo on the eShop, and a November Complete Edition clock that reads 6 November in KST/JST and 5 November in PST once you keep Shift Up's offset. Eve's original PS5 ship day remains 26 April 2024. The official vignette ID is FEJ6LnglLTs. Costumes, not a guest fighter.
Four free suits — Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne, Black Tresses — for Eve on PS5, PC, and Switch 2 when Complete Edition hits. Demo's live. Clock's set. That's the story.
