Xiaomi's 18 Fold is the first phone with its XRing O3 chip

The Xiaomi 18 Fold, shown at IFA 2026 before its 7 September China launch, is the first commercial phone with the company's XRing O3 chip.

The object on the Berlin stand is a cherry-red foldable with Xiaomi's own silicon inside. At IFA 2026 Xiaomi put the Xiaomi 18 Fold on the floor as a physical unit ahead of its China launch on 7 September 2026, and the company is calling it the first commercial smartphone powered by the in-house XRing O3 processor. Ubergizmo's IFA filing is a clean primary for the showcase: cherry red finish, XRing O3, ChangXin Memory Technologies LPDDR6 claimed at up to 12,800 Mbps, China launch dated 7 September. Android Authority's booth note matches the silicon firsts and the September 7 China date. Object as news.
