The Cunningham Highway's new safety works between Tregony and Maryvale are finished. It's a stretch on the Warwick side of Cunninghams Gap in southern Queensland. Queensland Transport and Main Roads Minister Brent Mickelberg and federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine King announced it on Tuesday 6 October. Crews have widened the road, strengthened the pavement and put in more than 3.2 kilometres of guardrail. They laid nearly 14,000 tonnes of asphalt along the way.
