Venice's 83rd edition hangs two Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement on the same Lido fortnight: George Clooney and Ellen Burstyn. La Biennale awarded both on the recommendation of artistic director Alberto Barbera. The festival runs 2–12 September 2026. Opening and closing nights are hosted by Greta Scarano and Nicolas Maupas — the Biennale's own 1 September announcement names that pair for Venezia 83.
