BOQ warns of "Peter Steel" fraud team scam calls

BOQ's October alert says scam callers posing as its fraud team, often as "Peter Steel", are after card details, one-time PINs and app codes.

Bank of Queensland says it's seeing a rise in scam calls from people claiming to be from its fraud team or head office. In its October 2026 warning, the bank says the caller introduces himself as "Peter Steel".
