Tesla's Cybercab, with two seats and no wheel or pedals, opened for commercial rides in Austin through the Robotaxi app on 3 September.

Tesla's Cybercab is now taking paying riders in Austin. On 3 September 2026, after an invite-only launch night, Tesla opened commercial rides in the purpose-built robotaxi through its Robotaxi app. It has two seats, no steering wheel and no pedals.
