Illustration for WSL
Lesson 1 is on the house.

/etc/wsl.conf configures a single distribution (interop, mount, network options).

Changes often need wsl --terminate or --shutdown to apply.

Sections like [automount] and [network] control /mnt behavior and hostname generation.

Do not confuse wsl.conf (per distro) with .wslconfig (per Windows user, global VM).

Keep comments in the file documenting why each setting exists.

wslconf

sudo nano /etc/wsl.conf
Match this when you type.
