Tesla Austin Robotaxi runs to 11 p.m. as Cybercabs hit 169

Tesla's Austin Robotaxi service now runs until 11 p.m., and the Cybercab fleet authorised for commercial use in Texas has hit 169 vehicles. That's according to Texas Department of Motor Vehicles records reported on 3 October 2026. It's nearly four times the 45 Cybercabs on the book when paid rides began in Austin on 3 September.
