Black Friday lands on 27 November this year, Cyber Monday follows, and then it's the Christmas rush and the Boxing Day sales. That's a lot of clicking on ads for deals that look too good to miss. Scamwatch, the ACCC's scam information site, warned in a December 2024 alert that scammers target online shoppers in the festive season, setting up fake websites that look like well-known brands.
