FAA opens review of SpaceX bid for 456 Starship launches

The FAA has begun an environmental review of SpaceX's plan for up to 456 Starship launches a year from Starbase. Public meetings run in November.

The Federal Aviation Administration has opened the door on a much louder Starbase. On 14 October it published a Notice of Intent to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for SpaceX Starship-Super Heavy operations at Boca Chica, covering up to 456 launches and 912 landings a year.
