Schneider Electric to buy PTC for US$22.6 billion

Schneider Electric will buy Boston design-software maker PTC for US$22.6 billion, or US$205 a share, its biggest deal ever, closing by late 2027.

Schneider Electric is buying PTC, the Boston company whose software engineers use to design and manage complex physical products, for about US$22.6 billion in cash. The French energy technology group announced the deal on Monday 5 October, paying US$205 a share, and it's the biggest acquisition Schneider has ever made.
