NASA releases final RFP for commercial space stations

NASA released its final call for commercial space station proposals on Friday. Bids are due 8 December, with contracts expected in spring 2027.

NASA has put out its final request for proposals for commercial space stations. These are the privately built outposts meant to keep Americans living and working in low Earth orbit once the International Space Station retires. Companies have until Tuesday 8 December to send in their plans, and NASA expects to award contracts in spring 2027.
