Migration fact-file: Australia's net overseas migration

Net overseas migration added 292,100 people in a year, about three quarters of Australia's growth, and Treasury's forecasts have been revised up.

Australia added 292,100 people through net overseas migration in the year to March 2026. That's the latest count from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and it was about three quarters of all the country's population growth.
