McPhillamys goldmine: court voids Plibersek heritage order

Justice Stellios found Plibersek's 2024 order over the Belubula headwaters near Blayney was made without authority. Murray Watt must now decide again.

A Federal Court judge has thrown out the heritage order that stopped Regis Resources building a tailings dam at its McPhillamys goldmine near Blayney. Justice James Stellios ruled on Wednesday that Tanya Plibersek's 2024 declaration over the Belubula River headwaters was invalid.
