The US Justice Department and the FBI have taken down the web addresses behind two hacking tools, Microscan and FishHub. Prosecutors say both were run by Integrity Technology Group, a China-based company with contracts with the Chinese government, and used to scan and in some cases break into critical infrastructure networks in the US and overseas. The seizures were announced on Thursday 8 October, US time, and court papers unsealed in the Western District of Pennsylvania tie the work to actors associated with Flax Typhoon.
